Scent Training, ETC

I'm attempting to train Winter to find things by scent. Her very first lesson... she took the cotton ball and ate it. Yep. ATE it. Sigh. Things have been going better since then, though I really don't have an idea what I'm doing. It will depend on what I get with my next commission. I'll be able to take Winter out for some scent training with a professional trainer if I get paid okay. But before I do that, I plan on taking Winter to intermediate training classes. After that, advanced. Then Therapy dog training.
Can't wait for me to start breeding again, but that will be several years in the future at this point. I'm between breeders. I want to get a pair of green cheeks once my retired pair of cockatiels pass and that could be another 4-5 years. My hopes are to breed turquoise chicks and yellow sided. Perhaps pineapple. It will depend on whether I can find a good breeder and if the birds will breed for me. So many plans, so little space and time!
