Myrrh is Training

So last Saturday Myrrh started her puppy training classes. She desperately needs the socialization and training. Our first three things to learn were 'sit', 'down' (Which I'd been teaching Myrrh wrong all this time!) and 'watch me'. Plus we're clicker training ! **Bounces with excitement** Pretty cool! The down I was teaching was called the 'leap position', where the dog's 4 legs are directly under their body. I have to have Myrrh lay down and have her hind legs stick out to one side and her hip down, so she's partially laying down. That's a 'relaxed position' and is ideal, apparently. She's got it down here at home (pardon the unintended pun). We'll see how she does at the training place.

The birds are doing okay, though I'm concerned about August. An all seed diet isn't good for Pionus parrots, but lately it's all I've been able to afford. Keeping an eye out for him :) . The finches were on eggs, but either they or the &^%$ing mouse infestation I have got to them. The conures are mowing through their food faster than a weed whacker on acid, LOL. Another reason why I need to pick up something other than seed soon :)

After a 2 and a half month hiatus on my art, I've gotten the drawing bug back! I finished 3 commissions, working on a fourth and finishing off a dragon pic for myself :)
