RC and Springer Update

Guess which stinkers have learned how to open up their cage doors? That's right! The Conures! Three times now I've come across Springer or Rc outside their cage moseying about on their play stand. One time I found the door locked in place in the 'open' position. Needless to say I put an end to that ripe quick. I wired most of the doors closed. Those that aren't wired closed have heavy, metal food dishes keeping things closed for me. Their breeder, Pam G., said that her Maisie (Mini Macaw) would open the doors for Rc and Springer when they were living with her. I'm wondering if they've picked up something from Maisie , LOL.

So yeah. The conures are a hoot. August (White Capped Pionus) is his typical perch potato self. Going to see if he moves from his usual perches come his next play time :) I should have fresh pellets and mash for him then :) . Picking some up today.
